Admissions

We welcome children and families from all social, cultural and religious backgrounds. We value the diversity of family structures and lifestyles. We aim to create a rich and a diverse pre school environment, to reflect the social and cultural diversity in our community. It is our intention to make our pre-school genuinely accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community.

We offer places to children from the age of 2, whether you are in receipt of the 2 year old Early Years Funding or whether you wish to pay for the sessions yourself. Please visit http://www.bathnes.gov.uk/services/children-young-people-and-families/childcare-information-and-support-your-family/free to check whether your child might be eligible for 2 year funding.

Children may attend up to 15 hours per week (government EYE funded this is for all children who are 3), with an additional 11.25 hours available. These additional hours can be paid for using the government 30 hours funded childcare initiative, or can be self funded at a rate of £6.50 per hour for 3 and 4 year old’s or £6.75 for 2 year old’s. To check your eligibility for 30 hours childcare, please visit the Childcare Choices website childcarechoices.gov.uk. This will allow you to assess whether your child is eligible. If you are able to claim funding for the additional hours, you will be provided with a code via the Childcare Choices website. This code will need to be given to us to allow your funding to be verified. Please note that we offer up to a maximum of 26.25 hours to reflect our opening hours - parents are free to use any remaining hours at other settings.

In addition we do charge £1.25 per EYE hour for consumables. For more information please visit our Funding page.

Please note that if your child is not eligible for the additional funding, the 15 hours Early Years Entitlement remains unaffected. The 2-year funding offering will also remain the same as currently offered.

You can claim the term after your child’s third birthday - September, January and April.

Further information can be found here.

We recommend that children start with a minimum of 6.5 hours a week (across a minimum of 2 sessions).

Government funded places are available for all children from the term after their third birthday. If you wish to enrol your child the term before their government funding entitlement begins, this will be charged at the normal rate of £6.50 per hour for 3 and 4 year old’s or £6.75 for 2 year old’s  (Pre-School fees are reviewed annually).
