Our opening hours work with siblings who attend Oldfield Park Infants school.

Our morning sessions will be 9am - 12pm Monday to Friday or full days of 9am - 3pm. We have a pre-session drop off with an 8.30am start for those who have siblings in either Oldfield Park Infants or Junior schools.

Admissions for 2026–2027 are now open, and we’re currently accepting registration forms. We offer a wide range of sessions for the 2026–2027 period, so feel free to get in contact for more details.

Our mission is "to provide a purposeful and caring learning environment, which can be accessed by the whole community".

Oldfield Park Pre-School is a registered charity, which is run by a committee of volunteers. We hold an Annual General Meting every October for our community, we encourage all parents and carers to join us and meet the team that keep our pre-school running. We are registered both with Ofsted and the local authority (BANES) who provide the majority of our funding via the ‘Early Years Entitlement’. We have a wonderful staff team who plan and provide a huge range of activities for the children to enjoy. These typically include P.E ran by Bath City Football Academy, Ballet Lessons with local dance school Little Dancers, cooking, painting, play dough, singing and playing with our indoor and outdoor toys. In addition, we have taken the children to ‘The Egg’ for performances, for walks in the local area, on short bus trips, and the local shops.

In September 2019 we moved to a classroom in Oldfield Park Infants school, prior to this we were based in the Baptist Church on Moorland Road. For over 35 years a Playgroup and later a Pre-school provided care and early education for 3-5 years olds and later 2 year olds.

During our current 7 years within Oldfield Park Infants school, we have noticed that children transition well onto school, and Oldfield Park infant school is a familiar setting for those moving on. We are able to use the playground and nature area daily, and the hall for Ballet and PE weekly.

Over this time, the nature of pre-schools and the regulations involved have changed, but the provision still remains.

In February half term (2024) our room had a freshen up with new flooring and decoration. This has now provided us with a light and airy room, with designated area’s for different types of play.

During the summer of 2025, we added a door through to the bathroom - this has made a welcome improvement to our setting, helping with both toilet training and independent use of the bathroom by the children.

In our latest Ofsted Inspection Report (June 2022) pre-school was judged to be ‘Good’.
